Two of our guests, Jim and Shelly H., shared an awesome video from their winter getaway to Palisades Tahoe. Check out page 39 of Time Together, the digital magazine published by our management company. You’ll find the video featured there along with numerous ideas for your summer vacation.

Jim and Shelly are timeshare owners and exchanged into Red Wolf Lodge at Olympic Valley. Here’s what they had to say:

“Jim and I love to travel, especially now that we’re retired. In just the past few months, we’ve visited Texas and traveled throughout California. It’s been a blast, but Lake Tahoe was definitely our most memorable trip this past winter. We strolled through Olympic Village, took the Palisades Tahoe aerial tram to High Camp, and made breakfast for the friends and family staying with us. The weather was perfect—brisk but not too cold, and there was a ton of snow! 

One of the great things about being an owner with Grand Pacific Resorts is that we can buy Bonus Weeks through GPX without having to give up our use week in Carlsbad. We stayed at Tahoe Beach & Ski Club and Red Wolf Lodge at Olympic Valley, where we experienced a real winter. It’s something we don’t really get in Southern California.”

In September of 2021 the ski resort formerly known as Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows announced a new name. The ski resort is now known as Palisades Tahoe. We support the efforts of the ski resort to respect the heritage of the local indigenous people as the reason behind the name change. Just as the resort is working to update every use of the name, so are we. Content published on our website prior to the name change is being refreshed, however you may find instances of the previous name.
